About the Role:

My Code is looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to join our B2B marketing team. This will be a temporary, part-time role (20 hours week) and will be expected to go on for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. Reporting to the Director of Communications & PR, this person will play an important role in My Code's external marketing efforts. Our ideal candidate is a champion for inclusive marketing. They leverage excellent interpersonal, written communication, and organization skills to develop and manage our presence at industry events and events we host, from planning and budgeting to content development and delivery.

The primary stakeholders are internal marketing teams, and our collective "client" is the My Code leadership team. The Event Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with PR, Marketing, Research, Design, and Sales teams to develop an events plan in service of raising awareness and consideration for My Code's advertising solutions targeted at brands, advertising agencies, and media publishers seeking to reach diverse audiences. This is a hands-on "doer" position that will roll up their sleeves and "get it done" in a fast-paced environment. You should have experience with, or be interested in learning how to execute within:

Google Workspace Products (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, Sites etc.)AsanaLinkedInZkipster or other event management software

Responsibilities:Build and manage yearly conference calendarDevelop and present conference recommendations and sponsorship opportunities to senior managementOwn the event brief for all events, clearly communicating our objectives, KPIs, key messages, budgets, timelines, run of show, preparation needed, etc.Work with cross-functional teams to ideate, plan, execute and recap eventsHandle all logistics (big and small) for events - including but not limited to contracts, invoicing, payments, meeting schedules, communication, follow up, creative development requests, invites, attendee lists, mailings, and moreManage travel and hotel accommodation bookings for tentpole events, as necessaryDevelop and track budgetsWork with production companies and vendors to deliver events and experiencesManage company swag collateral ordering, collaborating with creative servicesMembership management (agreements, negotiation, fulfillment)Collaborate with graphic designer in creating design work for conferences (email, potentially social, and collateral)Proactively manage project work keeping tight to timelines and deliverablesOverall support for Director of Communications and VP of Marketing across event planning, execution, and strategy

Requirements:5 years work experience as an Event Marketing manager, with 10 years in the business/professional workforceStrong customer service backgroundUnderstanding of event planning and production detailsComfortable working cross-functionally in a leading positionOutstanding attention to detail, organized, collaborative, and creative individualExcellent writing and communication skillsAbility to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detailAbility to take initiative, be proactive, and work independentlyAdvocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion both internally and externally

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $50.00- $60.00. The hourly range is determined on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
