Overview
Burlington Stores is looking for an analytical and process-minded Inventory Control Analyst to join our Supply Chain team!
The
DC Inventory Control Analyst
will research, problem solve, perform root cause analysis, and process financial inventory adjustments impacting inventory for either the East Coast or West Coast Distribution Centers and Warehouses in addition to the Burlington Stores. Must independently provide a strong research skill set and problem-solving ability while leveraging the skills and knowledge of other team members across the Supply Chain to accomplish their responsibilities. Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required. Ability to travel to multiple facilities across multiple shifts as needed.
Required to comply with the policies and procedures as defined in SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure). This position will support members of the Supply Chain, including but not limited to, Finance, Buyers, Allocations and Planning, Transportation, DC Operations and Burlington Stores nationwide.
Responsibilities
Develops a thorough knowledge of internal department and external operational SOPs and best practices.
Ensure operational members are accurately following SOPs.
Perform thorough audits and document investigation methods and issues affecting inventory while performing root cause analysis.
Communicate (written and/or verbal) recommendations and engage the appropriate levels of management in the Supply Chain to assist with the escalation of items needing immediate attention.
Work with IT, POC, DC OPs, Finance and other work groups for assistance in research and problem solving.
Analyze and report systemic and operational issues to prevent situations that could result in the loss of company assets in a timely manner.
Plays a key role in projects related to inventory movement and cost savings initiatives.
Ensure all key functions and reports, as assigned, related to inventory transactions are monitored consistently, accurately, and timely.
Cross trains frequently on operational procedures.
Interacts confidently and accurately with all levels of management.
Completes timely inventory adjustments as directed.
Audits and conducts operational research in order to identify receiving errors and reduce shrink.
Our ideal candidate will have 1+ year Analyst, Inspection, Inventory Control or related distribution center/retail experience preferred, 1+ year experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and sortation system (Dematic) preferred. Experience in a high volume Distribution environment preferred.
