Position Summary

The

Director of Operations

provides functional leadership to Signal Security’s community-based security officer supervisors through the development and implementation of policies and practices essential to the effective management of day-to-day operations. Basic duties include protecting all sites and managing all reporting supervisors. All duties listed below are minimum requirements. Furthermore, the Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of the franchise and its patrols and ensures their effectiveness in providing peace of mind. This includes training and reviews, devising service improvements, and ultimate responsibility for the overall quality of the client’s Signal experience. The Director of Operations is someone of strong character who shows promise as a leader and mentor.

Responsibilities:

Participate in weekly leadership meetings with peers and superiors.

Coach and monitor supervisor's individual and group performance on task completion and report writing.

Conduct daily huddles, spot checks with officers under your supervision, provide feedback and recognition as needed.

Promptly report any information that may impact the relationship of the client to the Executive Director and/or Franchise Owner and modify post orders as needed.

Participate in the hiring process, interviewing candidates and setting up orientation dates and times.

Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards and devices, etc. Clearly communicate needs and issues to Executive Director and/or Franchise Owner.

Participate in a performance review during recommended time frames with Supervisors to enhance the Officer Brand Experience.

Ensure schedule is completed to fulfill contracted services and will cover shifts as necessary to ensure completion while minimizing overtime.

Ability to recommend and/or issue disciplinary action against personnel in violation of Signal standard operating procedures. Furthermore, provide positive recognition for personnel going above and beyond the Signal expectations.

Requirements:

18 years of age or older.

High school diploma or GED.

Pass Louisiana State background investigation.

Ability to pass a drug test.

Driver’s License with good driving record - MUST BE DRIVERS LICENSE.

Must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.

Ability to conform to established procedures and to help identify and solve problems.

Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, add value and strive for growth.

Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to remain alert and attentive for up to 12 hours.

Experience:

Management: 3 years (Required).

Experience supervising/overseeing a minimum of 2,000 weekly hours in a private security company.

Responsibilities:

Operational KPIs responsibility and accountability: Labor Efficiencies, Patrol Completions, Dedicated Shift Completions, Employee Retention, Customer retention, Daily sales outstanding, and A.R Over 90 days.

Directly responsible for the training, development and performance management of Coordinator and Branch managers.

Conducts daily review of urgent activities and client reports and addresses issues in the field or internally.

Monitors company policies and procedures through spot checks and consistent evaluations.

Responsible for fostering a positive working environment through feedback, recognition programs, and performance reviews.

Conducts

Quarterly Career Progression Meeting

with all employees to review performance and career advancement interest and opportunities.

Responsible for the maintenance of all Signal assets and equipment to ensure proper operating condition and brand standards.

Responsible for validating any Signal equipment needs and managing the inventory as resources are needed.

Develop relationships with vendors and networking with new potential client partnerships.

Coordinates with teams upstream and downstream to provide service-related input to assist in developing new processes and operational excellence.

Works to continuously improve the quality of service, operational efficiency, and processes.

Requirements:

21 years of age or older.

High school diploma or GED.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

2+ years or more in Management or a leadership capacity.

Pass background check and drug test.

Must have valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Complete training modules within first month.

Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills.

Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.

Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
