With more than 75 years of combined management experience in the laundry industry and a cost-effective, state-of-the-art facility with industry-leading green innovations, our client offers in the hospital and nursing home industries consistent premium service at competitive rates.SummaryThe Human Resources Manager plans, directs, and coordinates functions related to the organization’s employees. The HR Manager will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and/or administration of HR programs, including recruiting, training, development, and change management. They will participate in and/or lead HR initiatives and special projects. They develop, implement, and maintain human resources policies, procedures, and forms; assist and support department managers and employees regarding personnel issues; and maintain personnel records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesEmployee Onboarding and ExitingOversees recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of frontline employees.Conduct new hire employee orientations.Manage employee paperwork, time clock data, human resources reports.Consult with upper leadership on strategic workforce planning and serve as the organization’s link between management and employees.Oversee and manage the master work schedule; advise management of staffing needs.Network and attend community hiring events.Construct certified letters to mail to employees for reasons such as: job abandonment, FMLA, ADA, etc.Conduct exit interviews.SafetyInvestigate incidents/accidents to determine root causes of injuries.Maintain First Report of Injury logs and documents for employee files.Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards, including OSHA, HLAC Procedures, etc.Prepare and facilitate safety training sessions for managers and employees to include topics such as: Bloodborne Pathogens, Accident Prevention, Back Injury Prevention, Fire Safety, etc.Oversee the safety committee.Manage the Personal Protective Equipment program.Conduct facility safety walks to ensure personnel are wearing PPE correctly.Conduct Safety Audits and fire drills.Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and updated as necessary.Employee RelationsInvestigate and resolve employee issues and recommend resolutions, based on policy, as appropriate. Involve those necessary based on incidents; President, CEO, Legal, etc.Handle all employee relation issues from disciplines, investigations, fact findings, personnel policy administration, determining next steps, resolution, and follow up.Provide direction to managers and employees on implementation of HR plans, programs, policies, and training. Act as the primary consultant on various HR initiatives.Track attendance for the frontline staff; construct warnings when necessary.Employee RecognitionOversee the Employee of the Month recognition program.Facilitate the monthly Employee Engagement meetings ensuring that employees are recognized for anniversaries, birthdays, productivity, etc.Oversee the Safety Recognition Program.Ensure managers are recognizing and providing feedback to frontline employees.GeneralKnowledge of and oversee all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding human resources.Serve as the HR consultant and work with operations to positively impact business.Apply knowledge of ADA and reasonable accommodation process.Lead interactive process with employees regarding requests for reasonable accommodation and identify appropriate solutions in compliance with the law.Participate in administrative staff meetings.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsProven success in the following job competencies:Professional written and verbal communication skills and presentation.Strong organizational skills.Software, information, and technology proficiency.Customer focus and relationship building.Champion for continuous improvement.Efficiency and accuracy a must.Problem-solving and decision-making skills.BS Degree in Human Resources Management.Proven work experience as a Senior HR Manager or similar role.Physical Work DemandsAble to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering paperwork, and using the telephone.Able to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.Mental Work DemandsRegular and on-time attendance.Hours occasionally exceed 40 hours per week.Works well with others.Self-motivated.
