Minimum QualificationsThe minimum qualifications for a Store Manager are:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in retail sales preferred.
Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials.
Ability to use a computer, or acquire those skills necessary to use a computer at the site.
A valid driver’s license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLSLeadership and Management
Recruit, hire, and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
Manage tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, and organized.
Maintain a professional image among subordinates and supervisors.
Schedule employees to maximize customer service and maintain site image.
Implement non-discriminatory management skills in hiring, training, and counseling employees.
Site Relationships
Develop positive relationships with suppliers.
Resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
Promote a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
Training and Development
Prepare performance appraisals for all employees, providing feedback.
Train employees to meet customer service and site image standards.
Train employees on safety procedures and promote safety awareness.
Communication
Ensure all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
Establish periodic communication meetings with all site employees.
Organizing and Planning
Evaluate and develop action plans to address site needs.
Organize and maintain all site files and manuals.
Supervise store employees to ensure reports are completed accurately and timely.
Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced correctly.
Ensure required employment-related posters are accessible to all employees.
Financial
Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and profits.
Budget and forecast P&L lines and manage merchandise margins.
Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
Working Conditions
Work indoors but may be required to work outside for cleaning tasks.
Occasional exposure to cold temperatures and noise.
Work with minimal direction and supervision.
Act as an effective manager, supervisor, and leader at all times.
