Looking to hire a Senior Transportation Engineer in Chicago, Illinois office. You will provide engineering expertise on highway projects including roadway studies and design, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, project scheduling, and large, complex highway corridors.
THE SKILLS SET NEEDED
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.At least 10 years of roadway design or relevant experience.Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain one within 6 months.Experience with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Tollway, or similar State DOT and/or local government agencies developing, delivering, and managing highway design projects.Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of project team to complete tasks.Working knowledge of roadway design software used to prepare engineering and design documents including Open Roads.Experienced in and fully capable of using the Microsoft software suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.Knowledge of virtual collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Teams.Proven leadership, communication, collaboration, mentoring and client liaison skills.PREFERRED SKILLS SET
