This position is located in Columbus, Ohio.

The Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network (OATN) is a consortium of the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The employee in this position will be a Wright State University (WSU) employee as WSU serves as the fiscal agent for the OATN consortium but the position is hybrid and based in Columbus, Ohio, and reports to the Senior Director of Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways. Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways (OGTP) are statewide pathways that provide a clear path to associate degree completion and then to bachelor’s degree completion in a related major. Additionally, OGTP are designed to show how students’ diverse learning experiences, such as military service or industry recognized credentials, can all build toward the completion of associate and/or bachelor’s degrees.

The Associate Director, OGTP, assists with the development and implementation process for new and existing statewide guaranteed degree pathways. This position provides direct support to the Senior Director of Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Public Administration or Higher Education or related field.

A minimum of two years experience in some combination with the following areas: articulation and transfer, academic administration, academic program development, accreditation process, credit for prior learning, career advising/placement, academic advising, student recruitment, curriculum development or career-technical education. Applicants must clearly demonstrate how they meet this qualification in their cover letter or resume.

Some managerial experience (people, programs, or projects).

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work, and experience may qualify as demonstration of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Strong reasoning and analytical thinking skills.

Prior work experience collaborating with faculty and administrators.

Technical/computer skills (Preferred familiarity with InDesign, webpage editing, data management, ability to integrate technology into current work processes).

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in some combination with the following areas: articulation and transfer, academic administration, academic program development, accreditation process, credit for prior learning, career advising/placement, academic advising, student recruitment, curriculum development or career-technical education.

Experience working at or in partnership with a community college.

Experience using a data tracking system.

Strong understanding of community college degree programs.

Experience in coordinating meetings and both small and large group discussions.

Experience working with student interns or student employees.

Essential Functions and Percent of Time

45%:

Perform managerial duties for the OGTP, including but not limited to the following:

Create, collect, review, and maintain institutional templates for the OGTP.

Ensure that both official statewide and institutional templates stay up-to-date through the annual updates process.

Maintain the OGTP website that serves as the official repository for all templates as well as the OGTP administrative site and institutional information websites.

Assist with OGTP data collection processes.

Develop and analyze endorsement surveys.

Schedule and attend meetings and communicate regularly with a variety of constituents via e-mail, phone calls, webinars, and in-person meetings.

45%:

Oversee and support the development of pathways that connect the Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathways to other OATN initiatives such as the Military Transfer Assurance Guides (MTAGs) and Industry-Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guides (ITAGs) information.

Conduct upfront intelligence research to determine new pathway opportunities.

Lead the development of new OGTP related to career-technical subject areas in cooperation with the career-technical education team.

Recruit and train/orient participating faculty for the OGTP initiative.

Work with other OATN team members to expand existing and identify new areas of collaboration.

10%:

Other related duties assigned related to the Ohio Department of Higher Education and Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network goals.
