The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri, School of Medicine is seeking to fill a Program Director position. This position will be full-time and will supervise a statewide team of early childhood consultants. The consultants will provide training and technical assistance on social emotional learning and early childhood (birth - 5 yrs.) mental health for early childhood educators in Missouri. This position works closely with the Center Director to support and coordinate activities that ensure compliance with funding requirements.The DESE Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health project is a fully grant funded project within the Center for Child Well-being. The Center has expertise in early childhood and child development, as well as staff who have worked at both the programmatic and systems-level in these areas.Duties Include:Ensuring consultants have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to communicate best practices in social-emotional learning within an early childhood setting by providing consultation, technical assistance, and case management.Serving as the point person for the project and providing supervision and guidance to consultants.Responsible for maintaining knowledge of current education mandates and initiatives at the early childhood level.Present in-field and virtual training sessions on social-emotional learning and early childhood mental health.Adapts functional plans and priorities to meet short and long-term project goals and operational challenges.Responsible for program reporting and record-keeping.Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.Preferred Qualifications

A Masters Degree in early childhood education or a related field with extensive knowledge and training in children's social emotional development.Anticipated Hiring Range
