This role acts as the NAM CSR Referent, executing impactful campaigns, monitoring CSR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and preparing reports as required by the CSR Agency Network and General Agency. The Director of Sustainability will also serve as the primary contact for local and regional partnerships with NGOs, managing funding requests and creating guidance calendars for organizations seeking support from the Group.Additionally, this role involves supporting proposal development, preparing briefings and business case analyses for the CCA executive team and Head Office, and contributing to the department’s budget development and tracking. The Director of Sustainability will also be responsible for preparing and updating annual energy and water conservation plans across the region, recommending procedural changes when improvement opportunities are identified, and leading the recruitment, training, and day-to-day coaching of new hires. Collaboration with peers across departments is essential to support the Group’s broader CSR and Sustainability objectives.Responsibilities:Project Management for strategic NAM regional industry, customer, and NGO partnerships, programs and initiatives as developed.Develop business case analytics and briefings for internal and external strategic partnership proposals and local actions.Planning, execution, data collection and reporting of local actions, energy programs, events and other requests from HO CSR and the GENDevelop strategies for increasing staff and customer engagement in CCA local actions and campaigns that support Planet, People, Fair TradeOrganize and leverage the HO CSR Ambassador Program in North America.Plan and organize engagement and education campaigns and events for all staffDevelop and maintain mechanisms to capture CSR engagement data and other CSR KPI’s through direct, indirect, and inferred channels and prepare bi-weekly and monthly reportsDevelops, monitors, and maintains core systems and dashboards, relating to the sustainability ensuring service-level goals are being met.MISCELLANEOUS RELATED DUTIES or PROJECTS AS ASSIGNEDKnowledge:Strong knowledge of maritime sustainable development concepts and strategiesStrong knowledge of the Supply Chain Transportation industryClear understanding of Group and CCA sustainability goals and objectivesKnowledge of and experience with CCA customers/clientsStrong knowledge of CMA CGM organizational structure and services/networkExperience working with U.S. and CANADA NGO’sGeneral experience 7-10 years; Industry experience 3-5 yearsBachelor's Degree required, Masters Degree preferredExperience working with NGO's and/or public agencies preferredSkills & AbilitiesProgram Design & ManagementBusiness Case Development & AnalyticsWell-developed communication skills; ability to communicate to all levels.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel (i.e. formulas, lookups, formatting, pivot tables) & PowerPoint preferredAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyCritical thinking and High attention to detailActive listening and reading skillsExceptional interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skillsAbility to conduct root cause analysisDemonstrated computer skills:Word, Power Point, Outlook, LARA and NOVAAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentEffectively Prioritizes / Time ManagementEffective writing and oral communication skillsAbility to identify & recruit local/regional NGOs aligned with CMA CGM sustainable development goalsSelf - motivatedDemonstrates a professional and positive attitude
