for Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations.Job Purpose

National Grid is looking for a self-motivated, self-learning, and skilled analyst to support daily administrative operations within Substation Engineering and Design.Key Accountabilities

Responsible for initiating work orders from Power Plan for capital projects within Substations.Administrative liaison for MSA contractors.Processing invoices received from MSA contractors and initiating purchase requisitions for substation equipment and other materials.Work with Engineers for invoice validation, processing change orders for MSA, and provisional needs supporting engineering activities.Data management with tracking and managing deliverables with dashboard data to support KPI and decision-making for the department.Support CIP, PRC, and other regulatory requirements along with following local policies and guidelines.Organizing documents and performing data management with verification, analysis, and following consistency.Provides insight and input on opportunities for enhancing standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.Involved in the development of new processes, policies, and standards.Develop documentation for knowledge transfer. Mentor and coach interns or new hires.Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed, as well as other duties as assigned.Perform and implement special assignments as necessary.Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent education with 10 years of related experience.Familiarity with SAP Ariba Software.Understanding of financial terms, utility accounting, and budgeting principles and practices.Proficiency with Excel including macros, pivot tables, complex formulas, and charts.Knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI.Adaptability to changes, new initiatives, and improvements.Demonstration of effective time management and task prioritization.Demonstrates personal ownership and accountability for delivering on customer commitments and resolving customer queries in a timely manner.Ability to explain and apply techniques for analyzing and capturing data and data change requirements.Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.Demonstration of a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with a diverse group of personnel.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.More Information

Salary - $116,000 - $136,000This position has a career path that provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise, and acquiring and applying technical skills.
