Family Law Lateral Partner

A law firm in Leesburg, VA, is seeking a Family Law Lateral Partner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in Family Law, a strong client base, and the ability to contribute significantly to the growth and success of the firm. This role involves managing and growing a personal book of business, providing high-quality legal counsel, collaborating with partners, and mentoring junior attorneys.Duties:Manage and grow a personal book of business within Family Law.Provide high-quality legal counsel and representation to clients on family law matters.Collaborate with other partners and team members to enhance the firm’s performance and success.Mentor and support junior attorneys and staff to foster professional development.Develop and implement strategies to expand the firm's client base and service offerings.Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody, child support, and domestic relations.Handle complex legal issues, negotiations, and court proceedings with expertise.Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and business development efforts.Requirements:A proven track record of success in Family Law.Demonstrated ability to generate and maintain a substantial client base.Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support junior attorneys.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with partners and team members.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active Virginia (VA) bar membership in good standing.Skills:Extensive experience in Family Law with a strong client base.Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Proven ability to manage a personal book of business and contribute to firm growth.Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.Ability to handle complex legal matters and provide high-quality client representation.Benefits Offered:Competitive compensation and benefits package.
