Our facility is accredited by the Joint Commission. The facility has 24 licensed beds, a 3 bed ED and 8 OR’s. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty area of Bariatrics, ENT, General Surgery, Imaging & Diagnostics, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery, Robotics, Total Joint and Spine. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Uptown meets the Federal definition of a physician-owned hospital.JOB DESCRIPTION:The ideal hospital CFO/COO candidate must be able to demonstrate skills and leadership in management, financial operations, hospital operations, fiscal affairs, strategic financial planning, internal controls and compliance. Our hospital CFO/COO will be responsible for:As a Senior Management Team member of the hospital, provides overall leadership and management of the hospital. Participates in hospital-wide strategic and operational planning.Financial Management ActivitiesFinancial Planning, Budgeting & ForecastingRevenue Cycle ManagementExpense ManagementFinancial ReportingCoordination with Central Billing OfficeRegulatory ReportingCapital Planning and ManagementOperational ResponsibilitiesBusiness OfficeRevenue CycleFinance & Accounts PayableHealth Information ManagementMaterials ManagementDietaryCommunication Activities
- Direct interaction with the Hospital Management Team and Staff, Physicians, Governing Board, Executive Committees, USPI & Baylor Health Care System, and Tenet Senior LeadersDirectly responsible for the following departments:Business Office to include Registration, Scheduling, IV/AuthRevenue Cycle to include Charge Capture, Collections, A/P, Denials ManagementHealth Information DepartmentMaterials Management DepartmentDietary DepartmentREQUIRED SKILLS:In order to be considered for this position, a candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:Recent hospital financial management experience is required.Minimum of 5 years of hospital Revenue Cycle Experience and management of multiple departments including business office functions and materials management.Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business degree required. Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Healthcare Administration and CPA preferred.Demonstrated experience in leadership, analytical and computer skills.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
