This position involves activities with food safety and sanitation programs. The position is responsible for plant and equipment cleaning, sanitation, and compliance with GMP's, sanitation policies and procedures.Essential Functions, Duties, and ResponsibilitiesHigh level of adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices with regards to sanitation and food safety.Performs cleaning and sanitation of all processing and packaging equipment and operational areas to ensure internal and regulatory sanitation/food safety compliance.Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory product safety and quality standards, sanitation standards, employee safety and environmental standards.Works closely with management and production personnel on sanitation problems.Maintains Master Sanitation Schedule.Maintains adequate records to track chemical inventory and sanitation supplies.Assists in product sample collection during receiving and operations.Performs other related duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.What You'll Need

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.One to three years of experience in a sanitation roleExperience and knowledge in food sanitation operations, procedures, chemicals and program standards, preferably in the food manufacturing industryFood manufacturing/manufacturing experience REQUIRED.A self-starter with the ability to work both alone and with a teamOrganizational and time management skills to complete daily / weekly tasksAbility to read and understand chemical labelsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimalsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceMonitors, coordinates, and completes SSOP and Master Cleaning Schedule (MSS)Responsible for filling out daily sanitation logs, performance reports and shift paperworkMaintains cleanliness of the facility (including production area, Production equipment, filling equipment, warehouse, office, restrooms , break rooms, and outside grounds)Ability to use a Power Washer to clean rooms and equipmentResponsible for cleaning chemicals and equipment inventoryEnsure plant is audit ready at all timesWork at elevated levels using a ladder and liftAttention to detailAbility to work: Monday - Thursday 8 am - 4:30 pm and Friday 5 am - 1:30 pm
