Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Blockchain Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in Emerging Companies, Venture Capital, and/or Blockchain/Crypto law. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for blockchain technology and will be responsible for advising blockchain companies at various stages of growth. This includes providing legal guidance on venture capital financings, token issuances, corporate structuring, and Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) formation. The candidate must be able to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape and assist clients in general venture capital and tech company corporate transactions.Key Responsibilities:
Advise blockchain companies on venture capital financing, corporate structuring, token issuances, and DAO formation.Provide counsel on regulatory compliance for blockchain and crypto-related businesses.Assist clients in understanding and navigating legal aspects of blockchain technology and token economies.Work on general venture capital and technology company corporate transactions.Draft and review legal documents such as term sheets, partnership agreements, and compliance policies.Offer strategic guidance to emerging companies in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.Conduct legal research on the evolving regulatory landscape related to blockchain, token issuances, and cryptocurrencies.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, clients, and regulatory bodies.Manage and lead client relationships, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction.Stay updated on trends, regulations, and legal developments in blockchain and cryptocurrency law.Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in a major law firm in Emerging Companies, Venture Capital, and/or Blockchain/Crypto.Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Washington.Strong knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency markets.Experience advising clients on regulatory compliance and corporate structuring.Deep understanding of venture capital financings and startup company lifecycle.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.Excellent academic credentials.Required Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue identification and resolution.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving legal environment, particularly in blockchain/crypto regulation.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Admission to the State Bar of Washington (required).Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and their legal structures.Experience with token issuances and regulatory compliance specific to blockchain projects.Previous experience working with blockchain startups or tech companies.
