Division Controller

at our Ferndale, WA location. This position is responsible for oversight of all accounting operations for a defined and well-established business unit – to include periodic financial reporting, maintenance of accounting records, cash management, managing a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, and ensuring the accuracy of reported financial results within the appropriate scope of practice, while adhering to Andgar company policies and standards. Actual duties may include some or all duties listed below.

Pay, Incentives, and Benefits:

Partner with accounting staff for oversight of core accounting functions (AP, AR, Payroll) specific to the business unit.Partner with external stakeholders and maintain positive working relationships – customers, banking, 401k provider, outside accounting firm, software vendors, insurance broker, etc.Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and proceduresContract administration and regular processing of contract billings and collectionEnsure accounts payable for business unit are paid in timely manner and that all reasonable discounts are takenEnsure accounts receivable for business unit are collected promptlyEnsure payroll for business unit is processed in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure periodic bank reconciliations and other GL reconciliations are completedComply with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsIssue timely and complete financial statementsCalculate and issue financial and operating metrics, manage the production of annual budget and forecastsDrive and implement process change by working with internal and external stakeholdersAdditional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Advanced understanding of financial software, auditing and budget developmentUnderstanding of multi-entity operations and intercompany transactionsDemonstrates team building and interpersonal skills by maintaining positive, collaborative, and constructive interpersonal relationships with teamAdapts to changes in work assignments and environment, is willing to assume additional responsibility and learn new processesAbility to work closely with senior management teamComputer literate with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience in maintaining/configuring an ERP systemQualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience for a major company or division of large corporationCertified Public Accountant certification or other designation (CMA, CGA) preferredKnowledge of construction industry a plusCurrent Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
