Primary Purpose of the Position:

Manage & lead the talent acquisition processes within the organization through a variety of means. Facilitate the learning & development processes within the plant (assessing, analyzing, developing, driving & measuring plant training) for salaried & hourly associates. Facilitate succession planning processes for developing bench strength within the organization. Coordinate the identification of high potential individuals in the organization & provide guidance for career development. Facilitate the Performance Management Process to ensure performance and development discussions occur in a timely manner. Facilitate employee engagement and retention activities to ensure plant culture is aligned with Goodyear principles.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the recruitment of talent utilizing a variety of sources including Universities, Internal and External Recruiters, Military Organizations & Outplacement Organizations. Includes coordination of advertising efforts, resume review, telephone screens & in-person interviews. Responsible for Affirmative Action Plans. Utilize measurement systems to assess the effectiveness of recruiting efforts. Develop systems to improve recruiting efforts. Reduce lead time in the filling of salaried vacancies.

Facilitate plant succession planning systems. Utilize systems that identify talent & initiate career development planning.

Assess & recommend training needs. Identify training solutions. Ensure delivery of learning & development through best means. Ensure plant meets mandated and required plant training requirements. Administer appropriate development programs. Analyze training results.

Ensure that the Performance Management Process is executed in an effective & timely fashion.

Assess the workforce through approved mechanisms (engagement survey, ext survey, etc.) and review engagement trends. Make recommendations and work with Leadership team to improve overall plant culture and engagement.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Bachelor's Degree in HR related discipline and/or master’s degree desired.

Experience:

At least 6 years’ experience in Talent Management or related HR function, including at least 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience.

At least 2 years leadership experience of an HR staff/team.

Experience managing talent acquisition for a large organization(s) preferred.

Experience leading training/learning & development preferred.

Must have succession planning experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal.

Must understand traditional as well as creative talent acquisition initiatives.

Knowledge of adult learning & instructional design & training delivery methods.

Knowledge of succession planning, organizational development and employee engagement methods and tools.

Knowledge of affirmative action plans & familiarity with EEO & OFCCP reports.
