Program Coordinator of Student Services

to coordinate and organize events, programs, and services to directly support students and their career development at the

TAMU Washington D.C. Teaching Site . Your attention to detail and your ability to enjoy working independently while collaborating with different teams (IT, Events, and Administrative teams) will promote student success as you plan and implement itineraries, room reservations, activities, calendar management, and catering to drive successful conferences, seminars, outreach events and more. Plans, coordinates, and implements events such as conferences, seminars, outreach events, workshops, career development events, and student orientation all in support of students. Coordinates event and meeting logistics to include itineraries, room reservations, activities, calendar management, catering, technology support, and/or set-up/break-down. Maintains a current calendar of events for students.Career Support:

Updates, maintains, tracks and monitors internship, job listings, and other relevant career information. Assists with employer, alumni, and industry outreach. Connect students to employers by sharing information about student organizations and campus events, highlighting career options, and/or addressing specific areas consistently requested by students. Advises students on networking, job search techniques, and other soft skills. Communicates with current and former students on career opportunities. Collaborates with departments such as admissions, financial aid, and/or advising, to ensure student and desired career alignment. Assists with international student applications as needed.Communication:

Coordinates program communications to students including, matriculation information, newsletters, program updates, career opportunities, and events. Develops and updates student-focused materials. Sends informational packets, including welcome letters, orientation schedules, housing information, and other required information. Disseminates information to current students. Communicates and collaborates with different teams, such as IT, Events, and/or Administrative teams. Responds to inquiries regarding program offerings and maintains relationships with stakeholders.Reports & Records:

Coordinates the development of various departmental reports. Organizes and maintains student information systems. Maintains program records and databases. Compiles program statistics and performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.Two years event planning, program coordination, or closely related experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of word, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to support occasional student events outside normal business hours.Ability to lift/move light objects/materials.Ability to travel on occasion to outside events as required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with students.Why Texas A&M University?We are a prestigious university with strong traditions, Core Values, and a community of caring and collaboration.
