Job Summary:

The Vice President of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and guidance to Trafera's HR operations. The Vice President is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Oversee the Human Resources function and daily workflow priorities

Develop HR function structure, strategy, team, processes and department budget

Recruit, interview, hire, and train HR team

Provide constructive and timely performance feedback as well as corrective action if required, in accordance with company policy

Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term vision, mission, values, strategy and goals; identify ways to support this through a Human Capital Strategy

Identify key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assess the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics

Facilitate and champion people-focused strategies related to change management efforts, including alignment to business objectives, risk identification, and workforce capability building

Provide guidance and leadership to the executive and human resources team; assist with resolution of human resource, compensation, benefits and staffing questions or concerns

Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, talent management, talent acquisition as well as onboarding of new hires

Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits/rewards, performance management, and employee incentive programs

Participate in, and contribute to leadership team meetings

Maintain Human Resources Employee Handbook

Participate in professional development and networking conferences and events

Required Skills / Abilities:

Willingness to not only provide strategic leadership, but also perform hands-on HR duties

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred

Essential and Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Ability to travel among facilities as necessary (primarily in St. Paul, MN, with infrequent out-of-state travel)
