Position and SalaryThe Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full-time

Fiscal Analyst 2

in the Financial Services Division. This position is located in Tumwater, Washington, and is not union-represented.Salary range: $45,732 - $61,404The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The following stipends may apply based on position requirements:Incumbents assigned to our Seattle office location receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend.Incumbents assigned to a position designated as requiring dual language skills will receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend.About the Financial Services Division:The Financial Services Division (FIS) provides support and accountability for agency financial and budgetary decisions and practices. Our primary goal is to protect and enhance the financial health and resources of the Office of the Attorney General including providing efficient, centrally located accounting, budgeting, payroll, contracts and grant services and management. We conduct the business of the Financial Services Division in a professional and cooperative manner which recognizes the contribution of each team member.Duties and Essential Functions of a Fiscal Analyst 2:This position is part of a team responsible for processing a variety of payroll transactions required for approximately 1750 agency employees. This group works closely within payroll and with partners in HR and in AGO divisions.Some specific tasks:Assist with agency-wide financial processing, time reporting, and reconciliation.Review time reported on the monthly timesheet for employees who are on a leave of absence.Reviews payroll data for negative leave reported, identifies and facilitates corrections.Reconciles reported leave in HRMS and the agency’s timekeeping system.Independently performs financial review and analysis of fiscal data in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.Ideal Candidate ProfileQualifications:Positions typically require a Bachelor’s degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and one to two years of relevant professional experience.
