Clinical Director

to support our Family Services department in Washington, DC.Compensation:

We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The salary range for this position is $95,160.00 to $111,820.80 and may be commensurate with experience.Position Description:

The

Clinical Director

is responsible for providing clinical consultation and services to families in housing programs, including providing referrals and linkages to outside resources. The

Clinical Director

provides leadership, advice, and counsel to program and clinical staff regarding a broad range of clinical, case management, and program management services.Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week); Hybrid/Telework Eligible, as approved by the supervisor. (4) In-Office Days and (1) telework day/week.Required:

Master's Degree; 5 years counseling experience; previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role; previous experience in health care or mental health organizations; experience providing services to low-income families and individuals.Preferred:

Master's Degree; 7 years counseling experience; 2+ years experience in a leadership or supervisory role; previous experience in health care, mental health, and social services organizations.Required License/Certification:

LICSW or LPC by the District of Columbia Department of Health, CPR/First-Aid, CPR for Infants.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, staffing modeling, leadership technique, productivity methods and coordination of people and resources.Knowledge of change and performance management.Knowledge of creative and effective problem solving skills with ability to draw conclusions, logical reasoning, evaluate options and implement solutions.Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for motivational enhancement theory and understanding of MET interviewing and career counseling.Knowledge of mental health issues, substance abuse disorders, trauma, program population, domestic violence and homelessness.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service and individualized services.Knowledge of clientele behavior and dynamics and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.Expected Contributions:Clinical Oversight:Develop, train and implement risk assessments, psycho-socials and other necessary tools to assess clients needs and ensure services and goals are person-centered and trauma-informed.Ensure compliance with clinical standards and expectations for programs.Develop, implement and execute training for staff to include motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and all other related trainings identified to enhance staff skills and effectiveness; evaluate staff's ability to use training methods in practice.Provide leadership and oversight of behavioral health issues and clinical programming.Build out and oversee the recovery support model that identifies high risk individuals; provides appropriate services through the Rapid Re-Engagement Program.Work with Family Services Leadership Team to execute clinical work plans and formulate strategic goals for the dept.Ensure effective systems are in place to track progress, and regularly evaluate clinical components to measure program outcomes and successes.Identify and analyze clinical trends and data to ensure clinical programs produce effective and sustainable outcomes and to prevent service gaps.Supervisory:Maintain professional documentation and ensure the program is in compliance with SOME CQI standards.Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal laws governing the workplace and all department functions.Schedule staff work hours, as needed, and monitor for time and attendance; Approve time cards and requests for leave.Provide direction and guidance to staff members on department operations and procedures.Contribute to budget development, and use sound judgement to leverage resources in accomplishing department goals; Administer budget and comply with SOME financial reporting requirements.Contribute to strategy development and strive to improve clinical functions and performance; assist in development of standards and goals as appropriate; ensure that teams develop goals and monitor progress regularly.Submit administrative paperwork to Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, and CQI; Refer to SOME Employee Handbook or policies for guidance.Reports to:

This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME.
