Quality Control Inspector Job Summary:

Met Weld is looking to fill a Quality Control Inspector position to support Receiving Inspection, In-process Fabrication Inspection, Final Inspection & Testing, Work Process Control, Visual and NDE Inspections, and other related QA/QC duties.

Quality Control Inspector Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform and document receipt inspections of material - this will require use of precision measurement equipment including micrometers, vernier calipers, and other quality inspection equipment

Perform and document inspections of painted products using electronic measuring equipment

Perform and document in-process inspections

Perform and document final inspection of completed products

Analyzes and interprets blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and measuring instruments required.

Experience

Knowledge of welding processes desirable

Experience with mechanical calibration

Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications

Ability to operate material handling equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts

Experience working in OSHA compliant work environment

Ability to use Precision Measuring Equipment, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

Qualified or ability to become qualified as NDE Level II (VT, MT, PT)

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Technical/Vocational training desired

Physical Abilities:

Pass a vision exam

Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend over, walk, reach above head, climb ladders
