Advisor, Employee Relations & Labor Relations - Advice & Counsel Center at Cardinal Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description What Employee Relations & Labor Relations contributes to Cardinal Health Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies. Employee Relations provides impartial advice and counsel to managers and employees on a wide variety of employee relations and management issues. This job family is responsible for conducting investigations, preparing responses to federal, state and local governmental agencies and conducing organizational health engagements focusing on positive employee relations. Labor Relations is responsible for ensuring the health of existing collective bargaining agreements, educating management on union awareness and addressing third party attempts to organize our workforce. Responsibilities + Responsible for handling incoming calls and cases from all levels of management, HR, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or employees with escalated issues. + Provides advice and counsel to managers, HR, and employees to help resolve and address employee relations issues through analysis, application of policies and/or employment law, investigation, and research. + Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to assist internal/external customers and stakeholders in identifying and meeting high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity implications. + Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise. + Jointly develops practical implementation plans to resolve ER issues that consider the overall culture/past practices of the organization with a goal to maintain a positive, engaged work environment. + Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in employment law and HR/ER, remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices. + Accountable for daily results, which include: + Adherence to internal and customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) and customer satisfaction + Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) + Proper case documentation and meeting assigned goals and objectives + Works with Employee Relations/Labor Relations Leadership (Director, Manager and/or Sr. Consultants) or SMEs (i.e., Lega To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
