We value the positive impact our business brings to the communities we serve and are looking for a candidate to join our team that has the same outlook on customer service.JOB SUMMARY:As an Indirect Purchasing Manager, you will oversee the procurement of indirect goods and services necessary for the company's operations, excluding direct production materials. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high quality and reliability. Your strategic approach to procurement will contribute to the organization's efficiency, profitability, and overall success.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Strategic Sourcing:

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories such as services, facilities management, packaging & shipping supplies, and office supplies. Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.Supplier Management:

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives, values, and quality standards. Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or concerns, and drive continuous improvement through collaboration and feedback.Cost Optimization:

Analyze spending patterns and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Implement cost reduction initiatives, including supplier consolidation, volume discounts, and value engineering, while maintaining product quality and service levels.Contract Negotiation:

Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, leveraging market insights and benchmarking data to achieve favorable terms, pricing, and contractual terms. Ensure contracts are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and mitigate risks through effective contract management.Procurement Process Improvement:

Evaluate and streamline procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance the overall procurement experience. Implement best practices, standardize procedures, and leverage technology solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve decision-making.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, operations, and department heads, to understand business requirements and priorities. Align procurement strategies with organizational goals and participate in cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including supply disruptions, vendor dependencies, geopolitical factors, and regulatory compliance. Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize potential impacts on business operations.Performance Reporting:

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities, such as cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and purchasing cycle times. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
