Wire Specialist

The Wire Transfer Specialist will process daily incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers and perform the end of day proof. Wire tracers, fund recalls, and wire amendments will be processed as needed and/or required, and additional department responsibilities, other than fund transfer, will be assigned as needed.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Processes incoming and outgoing wires daily including monitoring the fraud control system for possible fraud suspects.Proves incoming and outgoing wires daily. Prepares and processes appropriate general ledger entries. Ensures that the wire totals are in proof at the end of each day. Researches and resolves any differences that occur.Processes wire research/investigation requests as needed. Initiates fund tracers and completes wire instruction amendments when needed.Recalls wires within specific guidelines.Contacts branches and/or back-office departments when wires are returned or duplicated.Assists branch personnel and/or customers with inquiries and/or problems. Researches, resolves, and responds to same.Assists to keep the Wire system updated regarding customer Cash Management accounts, rates, ABA numbers, G/L numbers, templates, and other control file information.Completes daily wire reports.Assists customers via the telephone support line.Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.Performs additional accountabilities as needed.Internal:

Customers, Data Service Bureaus, and FISMinimum Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of Regulation E, UCC regulations governing Wire Transfers.PC working knowledge, particularly word processing and spreadsheet applications (Word, Excel).Good oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of bank policies and procedures.Pay Range: $54,000 - $57,000Hours: 37.50This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if hours worked are over 40 hours.The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
