A law firm in Charleston, SC, is seeking a licensed South Carolina attorney for an Insurance Defense Attorney position. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense matters. This role involves representing clients in various insurance defense cases and providing effective legal counsel and representation.Duties:Represent clients in insurance defense litigation, including property, casualty, and liability claims.Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda and reports.Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute to the development of litigation strategies.Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as required.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.Manage case files and ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.Provide legal advice and counsel on insurance defense matters and risk management.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in South Carolina.1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the South Carolina Bar.Skills:Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to insurance defense.Strong legal research and writing abilities.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to manage complex cases and prioritize tasks effectively.High attention to detail and organizational capabilities.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
