Bicycle Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a novel class of medicines, referred to as Bicycle molecules, for diseases that are underserved by existing therapeutics. Bicycle molecules are fully synthetic short peptides constrained with small molecule scaffolds to form two loops that stabilize their structural geometry. The Senior Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) reports to the Vice President of Quantitative Pharmacology group. In partnership with drug discovery medicinal chemists, biologists, pharmacologists and toxicologists, you will be responsible for leading a small team of DMPK scientists supporting multiple projects from target identification through to candidate selection and ultimately regulatory submission.Provide DMPK scientific leadership across all stages of the portfolio.Oversee the quality and performance of all DMPK activities including interactions with external CROs and internal project stakeholders.Work collaboratively with other core disciplines to support compound progression based on optimizing DMPK properties.Integrate data from multiple sources to inform on the understanding of bicyclic peptide distribution, metabolism and excretion.Work closely with in-vivo pharmacology to design experiments to understand preclinical pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (pk/pd) relationships.Work closely with discovery team and regulatory team to author and review DMPK related IND documents.Manage DMPK budgets for CROs and monitor CROs to ensure delivery of quality data on time.Support leadership of the Quantitative Pharmacology group and junior staff development.Qualifications

PhD in relevant scientific discipline such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences.Significant experience working on DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects with a track record of successful delivery.In-depth understanding of DMPK science with additional knowledge of related disciplines.Demonstrated expertise in DMPK problem solving across drug discovery.Ability to adapt your working style to suit different cultures and partner expectations in both remote and office-based environments.Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence.Previous experience working on peptides-macrocycles would be an advantage.Nice-to-have: experience on radio-pharm projects.Additional Information
