Grace Covenant Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is looking for a Director of Operations to join their team. This person will provide day-to-day oversight in these primary areas of church function: 1) Office Management, 2) Finances, 3) Facilities, 4) Human Resources, and 5) Communication. Additionally, the DOO will provide ongoing leadership development and facilitate team building in each of these primary areas.Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Providing support to Ministry Staff so that the daily operations of the church can function.Leading, directing, and managing in the primary areas above.Leading and coaching both staff and volunteers as directed.Daily oversight of the church finances, including all financial reporting and assisting with the budget development process.SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE:Committed and growing disciple of Jesus.B.A. or B.S. in business management, accounting, or related field.Experience in business management, finance, and facility oversight, or related field.Experience in finance and accounting.THE AREA:Harrisonburg is nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, bounded by the Alleghany and Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River. Rockingham County and the City of Harrisonburg boast a diverse and thriving economy, great neighborhoods, and schools.
