Req #331Monday, July 22, 2024The primary responsibility of the New Product Development Manager is product development and project management. The New Product Development Manager will partner with design partners, vendors, and internal teams to bring products to market. They will oversee the process from inspiration through sampling to launch, setting development timelines/schedules, and providing company leadership with monthly development summaries.Responsibilities:Executes the overall brand objectives and strategies, ensuring all deliverables align and reinforce key brand attributes to drive brand equity in the long and short term.Communicates and works effectively with design partners by articulating project status, data-driven information, and future needs.Develops, implements, and adheres to a timeline that aligns with the company goals.Sets and negotiates target pricing for all product categories under the Modern line.Elevates and refines product designs.Remains current on lighting, design, and color trends.Researches and understands the competitive marketplace and target audiences.Works collaboratively with internal and external designers to drive the best result from the creative process and ensure positive results on the brand.Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values.Be present in the workplace to effectively elaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.Demonstrates commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to the agreed-upon schedule.Gathers and reports metrics.Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in product development, product design, product management, or engineering OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.4 years of full-time experience in product analytics.Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team atmosphere, promoting positive work relationships with both internal and external customers.Knowledge of construction and manufacturing techniques pertaining to lighting.Working knowledge of Product Information Management Software, specifically InRiver Software.Working knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD and InRiver Software.Experience or knowledge of The Lighting Industry preferred.We Provide:Competitive Compensation Package.Company provided Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability.401(k) Employer Match.Paid Time Off Programs.Team Member discounts on Visual Comfort Products.
