The Co-op’s Wine, Beer, & Spirits department head (WBS) reports to the Grocery Manager and is responsible for ordering, stocking, pricing signage, and merchandising of the wine, beer, and spirit sets in the Co-op, along with working regular grocery shifts and fulfilling grocery clerk functions.The WBS will act as a leader within the grocery team and work with the grocery manager to create organizational systems for the wine, beer, and spirits to use. All Co-op employees are expected to provide excellent and professional customer service both externally and internally.Location & Commitments:

· 1220 N Forest St, Bellingham, WA· Full-time, Non-Exempt· Pay Range is $19.15-$23.55 Hourly· Hours and days vary, morning, evening, and weekend shifts will be assigned· Schedules are posted at least 2 weeks in advanceWhat you’ll be responsible for:

Keeping wine, beer and spirits displays clean and organized with accurate signage.Building dynamic off-shelf displays for features, promotions, seasonal opportunities, and customer experience.Working with grocery manager to select beer, develop promotions and opportunities for beer.Working closely with the grocery manager to get product direction and promotional information.Creating and maintaining systems of organisation for the Grocery team to be able to easily run back stock and help customers.Working regular grocery shifts and fulfilling all grocery clerk functions.Maintaining up to date knowledge of new products and trends and reviewing sales data regularly.Maintaining effective ordering systems to ensure products are in the store.Performing other duties as needed and assigned.What skills are needed:

Ability to provide friendly face-to-face customer service in a fast-paced environment.Motivated to expand knowledge of new products and trends.Interest and ability to gain knowledge of the wine, beer and natural foods industry.Ability to collaborate and work on a team.Attention to detail and multitasking skills.Basic computer skills, able to access and use technology.Ability to speak and comprehend English well, multi-lingual is great.Must be at least 18 years of age.Physical requirements

Ability to work in moderate and loud noise environments including, but not limited to: paging, telephones, human voices, music, and machinery.Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, reaching/stocking above shoulders and below waist, pushing/pulling carts, repetitive motion, keyboarding, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly.Ability to climb ladders occasionally.Benefits at the Co-op
