Duties

Designs and develops publicity/marketing concepts and branded materials in a variety of formats and delivery vehicles such as hard copy and electronic publications, briefings, and interactive multimedia, using a comprehensive knowledge of design principles and production methods. Develops and implements marketing initiatives, promotions, and programs for the 673 Force Support Squadron (FSS) under the direction of the Marketing Director. Creates original graphic designs for publications, printed marketing, and web advertisements. Executes layouts, presentation material, and other media. Uses publication software (Adobe Suites, Microsoft products) to create effective advertisements and designs for a variety of mixed media. Determines marketing techniques and strategies to enhance participation and increase financial income to FSS activities. Performs qualitative and quantitative market research to improve customer relations, satisfaction, evaluate demographics, and determine advertising effectiveness. Produces copywriting and edits materials for effective communication strategy and customer readability. Event and program photographer/videographer as scheduled. Works well with marketing department, activity managers, and leadership to produce quality, accurate promotions for events, programs, and offerings. Determines campaign needs including print/digital, type, quantity, and locations; copying, collating, mounting, laminating, compiling, organization, and distribution of materials. Assists with web management and social media campaigns as needed. Meets applicable deadlines. May be subject to irregular duty hours for event coverage. Driving between facilities located on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson is required to perform duties. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.Qualifications

Applicant must have the ability to design and layout advertisement copy from several of the programs listed. Must be organized, creative, detail-oriented, and accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines. Must be able to produce copywriting without grammatical errors and be efficient with Microsoft Office. Must have ability to read, write, and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier I investigation. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.Education
