Position Responsibilities:

Work as a member of the Nutrition Department Team to support Nutrition Site Coordinators, Aides, Volunteers, and Drivers and ensure the smooth operations of the Nutrition Program. Participate in hiring, training, quality assurance, and performance evaluation systems within the Nutrition Program. Ensure that all Site Coordinators receive adequate training and support to perform basic job functions in a competent and professional manner. Maintain and enhance a culture of continuously improving service delivery for both internal and external Nutrition Program partners.

Essential Functions:

Provisional Employees:

Coordinate and participate in the new staff hiring and orientation processes for the Nutrition program.

Provide regularly scheduled supervision to review all job responsibilities completed in compliance with EOEA and AgeSpan standards.

Maintain open communication to gather feedback on the new employee's progress and discuss timelines with the new employee.

Work in coordination with the Director of Nutrition Services to complete the new employee's six-month Progress Report and make recommendations regarding regular employment status and termination of coaching period.

Experienced Staff:

As a member of the Nutrition Program team, work closely with the Director of Nutrition to implement Quality Assurance initiatives that apply to Site Coordinators, Site Aides, and volunteers.

Complete annual performance evaluations of Site Coordinators and Site Aides.

Meet with experienced employees for remedial coaching and training relative to areas identified through agency Quality Assurance efforts as required.

Participate in Progressive Discipline process as indicated.

Promote professional development and participate in agency staff recognition programs.

Programmatic:

Manage the daily operations of the Meals on Wheels program, congregate dining sites, and all AgeSpan Nutrition programs in an assigned area.

Ensure proper coverage of Home delivered meals and congregate dining sites, through accurate scheduling and timely use of all field staff.

Regularly visit and monitor dining sites to review and direct all operations functions.

Coordinate the training, recruitment, and orientation of new Site Coordinators, new drivers, and volunteers under supervision.

Participate in promoting the Nutrition program of AgeSpan via special events, presentations, and educational programs.

Participate in all staff meetings, training sessions, and all AgeSpan agency meetings and trainings to develop and implement goals, objectives, and guiding principles for the AgeSpan Nutrition program.

Develop and maintain relationships with staff at community organizations to ensure effective partnerships.

Exhibit the highest level of Customer Service to all internal and external customers at all times.

Maintain current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations that may affect AgeSpan Nutrition program or our clients.

Monitor all delivery route sizes on a regular basis to ensure meals are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensure all Site Coordinators, drivers, and volunteers understand and follow safe food handling practices.

Complete proper data entry of updates, changes of consumer information in Nutrition Computer systems.

Participate in shared Team activities such as, but not limited to, answering the phone, working with Team on Consumer No Responses, and providing Customer Service to any consumer, family, or CBO Partner.

Complete annual Customer Service Surveys and document results.

Manage equipment and supplies inventory.

Facilitate monthly field staff meetings and in-service training as required.

Qualifications:

A and (2) years of relevant experience or High School diploma plus (5) years of operations and staff management preferred.

Strong Computer skills, Proficient with MS Office, internet usage, familiarity with database systems and spreadsheets.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

Strong written and verbal communications.

Creative problem-solving skills.

Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.

Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Must have private transportation.

Experience working with an Older Adult population.

Serv-Safe Certified or successful completion within the first 6 months of employment.

Other duties as assigned.

37.5 per week
