Food Pantry Coordinator
in Greensboro, NC.Job SummaryReceives, organizes, and distributes supplies of food; reports of services provided; maintains inventory of food and warehouse items. Provides assistance to eligible clients with food assistance; interviews clients to determine need and eligibility to receive services; prepares accurate and complete client records; refers clients to community agencies and maintains effective working relationships with the same; ensures compliance with program policies and procedures.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to plan and coordinate the distribution of food and commodities to the public.Ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers.Ability to maintain an adequate inventory of food and commodities to meet the needs of the program.Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or G.E.D. or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsAbility to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language is required. Ability to communicate in the Spanish language is a plus. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
