Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Test Lead to join the client ERP Transformation program to implement Workday FIN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for program testing efforts and support the Testing Workstream. The candidate will report to the HCM/FIN Technology Director & Test Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the entire test cycle, which will involve multiple phases, including Smoke, Unit, End-to-End, Regression, Integrations, Parallel, Data Conversion, and UAT, until the Sign-off of each phase.
Align with the systems implementation partner, to manage and report the status of overall program execution and facilitate the execution of the test strategy and end-to-end test management.
Plan and coordinate to ensure all testing activities are executed within the integrated project plan timeline.
Collaborate closely with workstream leads, planning the test phases execution, scope, effort estimation, and risk management.
Responsible to onboard Workday FIN to the Kainos test automation suite (SmartTest, SmartShield, SmartAudit).
Responsible for establishing processes for FIN regression testing within the Kainos SmartTest for the ERP Transformation program and ongoing governance between FIN and HCM post-program deployment.
Coordinate and ensure testing resources are aligned on scope, timing, and procedural expectations for every test cycle.
Secure agreement from and coordinate with the program team on test environments, expectations, and resources.
Support each test phase's entry and exit criteria, including formal approval from all relevant stakeholders, reporting, and signoffs.
Perform the defect management process, including strategy, triage, reporting, and resolution.
Responsible/coordinates regression testing of impacted systems.
General Requirements
The candidate is responsible for overseeing the execution of all software testing programs, tools, and techniques supporting the program.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with the Test Director to set expectations and direction from a strategic and planning perspective.
Adhere to our financial client ATOM standards, tools, and best practices.
Verify requirement traceability from System Requirements through test cases and defects.
Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
Overseeing execution of all software testing programs, tools, and techniques.
Work with the PMO and Test Director to create test schedules.
Manage testing to the schedule and escalate if deviations are foreseen or occur.
Trace Test Cases back to requirement to verify coverage.
Validate Test Preparation of environments and verify all teams are aligned with what needs to occur to build/prepare the test environments.
Coordinate, track, and report regularly on execution of testing.
Verify defects are effectively recorded, communicated, and understood.
Analyze and ensure test results and changes/defects are reflected in the test case and test cases are updated appropriately based on resolution.
Identify, create, and review test metrics.
Identify and recommend process improvements as necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skill/Experience/Education, Mandatory Skill, Experience and Qualifications to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Over 5+ years of experience with Workday HCM and/or FIN required.
Experience in at least 1 full cycle Workday HCM and/or FIN implementation.
Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
Hands-on experience in Agile methodology.
In-depth experience with Workday test process for integrations testing, functional testing, system integration testing, and regression testing.
Experience with Kainos automation software.
Proven project management skills including experience with project management tools (i.e. Jira, qTest, PowerBI, Excel).
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Applies creative solutions and strong problem-solving skills with agility.
Led test management from a customer side or projects managed by a Systems Integrator.
Strong risk awareness skills and management of risk.
Manage multiple streams of work simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Delivery focused, with high energy and drive.
Credibility, professionalism, and strong personal integrity.
Workday certifications are a plus.
