Assistant Director . This leadership position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting a nurturing learning environment for children, staff, and families.

The Assistant Director will work closely with the Head of School and support the day-to-day operations of the academy, including administrative tasks, family engagement, and occasional classroom support. We are looking for a compassionate, organized, and confident leader who is committed to promoting Montessori principles and contributing to a vibrant, inclusive community. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a heart for working with young children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the daily management of the school, supporting staff at the toddler, and preschool levels.

Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for children, parents, and staff.

Assist with administrative tasks, including office work, scheduling, family tours and compliance with regulations.

Provide support in classrooms as needed.

Act as a liaison between families, staff, and the Head of School.

Contribute to a positive school culture by modeling compassionate and firm leadership.

Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.

Experience with, or familiarity with, Montessori philosophies.

Administrative and office management experience.

Knowledge of state licensing requirements and early childhood standards (MERIT/WAC/Licensing).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Positive professional references.

Position Details:Full-time, 40 hours per week:

Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:30pm

Salary:

$62,000 – $66,000 per year
