POSITION SUMMARYAs the Senior Project Manager, you will serve as the technical lead for design execution of projects. You will oversee all project design activities and serve as the primary point of contact for the client on the project. You will also be responsible for the design quality, delivery of contracted scope, and meeting project objectives, requirements, schedules, and budget.RESPONSIBILITIESServe as technical subject matter expert for multiple areas of mechanical engineering.Supervise and manage assigned engineers on each project, providing technical guidance, training and support for junior engineers.Perform calculations, modeling, engineering, and code research as required.Conduct peer review, technical oversight and quality control of design team’s work products.Provide hands-on project management by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget. Make adjustments to staffing and resources as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.Organize and facilitate internal and external client meetings ensuring that all action items are documented and completed.Provide project coordination with all involved in the project; internal, external, sub-contractors, etc.Work with the VP of group to respond to client issued RFPs. Collaborates with group VP to develop and write bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, budgets, etc. using the agreed upon Concord methods and standards.Establish and maintain excellent client relationship with the goal of maintaining existing clients and receiving referrals for new clients.Ensure accurate project accounting, ensuring that project setup, monthly invoicing and accounts receivables are done on a timely basis and in compliance with accounting protocols.Participate in trade conferences, business development activities and promotion of Concord Engineering Healthcare and Sciences commercial and marketing activities.REQUIREMENTSBS in Engineering.Licensed Professional Engineer required.A minimum of 10 to 15 years in the health care, hospital, laboratory sector.Experienced with NFPA 99, FGI Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities.Experienced/working knowledge of load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR and/or Carrier HAP.Experience in executing design projects with Autodesk, Revit and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM).Knowledgeable of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus.Excellent time management, able to work in fast paced environment, excellent communication skills.Able to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be knowledgeable of local, state and national code requirements.Must have working knowledge of electrical, controls, structural, civil and architectural discipline requirements.Knowledge and experience with construction requirements, scheduling, trades and OSHA regulations.Extensive experience in managing and coordinating multidiscipline projects.Must be a good time manager, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions.Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and have strong technical writing skills and technical documentation skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports.BENEFITSCompetitive base salary and bonus potential.Medical, dental, life, and short/long-term disability insurance.Generous 401(k) match.Generous vacation.Generous Paid Time Off (PTO).Paid company holidays.Summer hours half day Fridays.Flexible hours.Employee development and growth opportunities.
