Description
Concord Engineering Group is looking for Mechanical/Plumbing and Fire Protection Associate Engineer for our Voorhees office. The Associate Engineer is an entry level position where the engineer will be in a learning and support role in coordination with the Project Engineer in designing mechanical/HVAC/plumbing/fire protection systems for various clients in the various markets within their design team. Coordinate and work with the design team within your discipline and work with the client/PM/Project Engineer to execute project objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
The responsibilities of this position include:Design energy efficient HVAC system and mechanical systems per client requirements.Learn the craft of being a design engineer from more experienced engineers and designers.Conduct load calculations analysis and energy modeling using programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR and/or Carrier HAP.Review projects regularly to ensure departmental standards and requirements are consistent with client requirements and the project budget.Perform design, layout, and checking of mechanical and HVAC drawings and ensure the technical correctness of the drawings by using the applicable job, federal, state and local standards and codes.Perform site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings and provide field construction support, as required.Position Requirements
Desired skills and experience:
BS in Mechanical EngineeringExperience/working knowledge of load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR and/or Carrier HAP is a plus.Working knowledge and utilization of Autocad, Revit experience is a plus.Knowledgeable of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus.Must be a good time manager, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions.Effective at working with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.Must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and have strong technical writing skills and technical documentation skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports.Able to read, write, speak and understand English
