We are seeking a Compliance & Governance Analyst to join our US legal team supporting our RWE Supply & Trading, LLC (RWESTA) and RWE Trading Americas, Inc. (RWETA) businesses. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining compliance policies, handling regulatory inquiries, and keeping the team informed of the latest regulatory developments. This position can be located in Chicago or New York City and will report to the Chief Compliance Officer.Compliance Job Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the FERC, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.Ensure regulatory filings are promptly submitted with CFTC, FERC and RTO/ISOs.Build and maintain an understanding of Exchange and RTO/ISO regulatory environment, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies.Review compliance policies and procedures and implement further training when warranted.Assist with regulatory inquiries.Assist with client onboarding and documentation maintenance, including KYC reviews.Perform testing and reviews of activities against compliance policies and procedures.Keep abreast, and keep others informed, of latest regulatory developments that may impact regulatory programs.Review and assess surveillance alerts to help ensure regulatory compliance.Draft circulars and educational materials related to rules and rule interpretations.Assist with various corporate governance matters such as scheduling board meetings, drafting resolutions and preparing minutes.Your Powerful Skills:Bachelor's Degree, required;3+ years of previous compliance experience in a regulated environment, required;Compliance experience working in the energy space covering physical and financial transactions dealing with power and natural gas, preferred;Compliance experience covering FERC and the CFTC regulatory requirements, preferred;Experience dealing with the independent system operators (ISOs) or regional transmission organizations (RTOs) such as ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, etc., preferred;Capable of working independently;Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Advantageous but not a must:5-7 years of previous compliance experience in a regulated environmentMaster's DegreeOur Offer:You'll enjoy a great culture, competitive salary, performance-based bonus, and a benefits package including:Salary Range of $85,000 - $130,000Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match, Commuter benefitsOpen & diverse company cultureCollaboration with offices around the globe and potential for domestic & international travelFlexible work schedule to allow for great Work/Life Balancerwe.com/careerApply now with just a few clicks: ad code
