Director, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

to join the Tailored Brands Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of sourcing strategies, driving, and improving the functional excellence of the sourcing and procurement practices, and interface with functional leaders to drive sourcing savings throughout the organization.What You’ll Do | Key AccountabilitiesAccountability for $500MM of company’s global indirect spend profile.Development and execution of Category Strategy.Design and implementation of an enterprise-wide strategic sourcing policy/process.Managing contract lifecycle management for all Tier 1 & 2 Supplier relationships.Work with internal business stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities, facilitate the RFI/RFP process, negotiate contracts, and manage post-award.Participate in negotiations for global agreements.Develop business processes for supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, price inflation management, and supplier risk management.Representation of procurement in strategic leadership meetings.Subject matter expert for all major supplier relationships and contracts.Own resolution of contractual/supplier related issues.Manage entry/exit of suppliers and related complexities that may arise.Champion for continuous improvement related to supplier relationship and contract management.Develop and lead internal savings objectives related to strategic sourcing initiatives.Provide management with process improvement recommendations that help streamline ordering and/or Procurement processes.Provide process expertise and insight to help drive procurement decision-making and sound process planning.Demonstrate a service-oriented mentality and a high sense of ownership of the assigned problems and requests.Additional responsibilities duties as assigned.What You’ll Bring | Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.Minimum 12 years of experience in supply chain management.3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, global category management or similar capacities.Experience in indirect sourcing categories.Preferred experience in retail, footwear, or consumer goods.Experience with PeopleSoft’s E-Procurement and/or SAP experience strongly preferred.In-depth knowledge and experience of a structured strategic sourcing process.Experience developing and executing category strategies from the ground up.Deep knowledge of procurement functions and related processes.Experience conducting market research for the purposes of benchmarking pricing, gaining insights regarding industry trends and their impact on supplier engagement.Familiarity with procurement management tools such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba, etc.Ability to independently draft commercial contracting language and work harmoniously with legal teams to negotiate contracts.Superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Superior organizational skills, with the ability to pay strict attention to detail while handling multiple tasks in a service- and results-oriented environment.Demonstrated ability to consistently exhibit excellent customer service skills and a positive, professional attitude.Willingness to take ownership and dedicate the time needed to complete departmental and company-wide objectives.Self-starter with exceptional ability to identify and solve problems.Must be self-motivated and a quick learner.Ability to work as an individual contributor, as well as in a team environment.Ability to work independently, as well as operate as a strong contributor to team successes.Ability to effectively work in fast-paced environment, assimilating information rapidly, while working under time constraints.Work well in a team environment.Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 20% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.Note: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
