This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding.Reports to the Director of Talent Search San Marcos at Texas State University.The Grant Specialist is responsible for assisting the Program Director and Program Coordinator with program recruitment and service delivery for program participants in the 6th to 12th grades at the program’s target schools.Services include but are not limited to college and career readiness, academic support, and financial aid advising.Position located in San Marcos, Texas with occasional travel to the Texas State University campus in San Marcos, Texas.Evening and weekend work may be required.Job Duties

Assist with program recruitment.Assist with completing Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Needs Assessments annually for new and continuing participants.Provide college admission and financial aid process information. Support recently graduated seniors as they transition to postsecondary education.Assist with the documentation of services provided, tracking, and reporting.Assist with pre and post evaluations for participants and parents/guardians.Monitor outcome objectives, collect data, and assist in preparing annual performance reports/other reports as assigned.Develop and maintain professional outreach networks within target area communities and schools, serving as a liaison and point of contact as needed.Participate in professional development opportunities to promote personal and professional growth.Conduct other duties as assigned.Additional Information to Applicants
