The role involves creating and implementing sourcing strategies to achieve the best value for indirect goods, services, and global logistics. The individual will set strategic direction and manage assigned commodities, collaborating with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other key departments to identify and capitalize on supply chain opportunities.As a specialist in logistics, including road, sea, air, warehousing, and customs brokerage, this position will oversee inbound, outbound, and international freight contracts. The individual will also develop category sourcing strategies that support broader logistics goals. Additionally, this role will manage global logistics activities and indirect materials/services, leading a team of logistics coordinators and buyers in North America.Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of Procurement and Logistics professionals, offering clear guidance and direction.Handle all aspects of team management, including hiring, training, goal setting, performance reviews, workload prioritization, and disciplinary actions.Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability with suppliers to meet business objectives.Enhance logistics sourcing strategies across multiple regions for international transportation services, playing an active role in their development and execution.Manage relationships and negotiate with global logistics suppliers, ensuring compliance with international logistical regulations.Develop and monitor supply chain KPIs, driving continuous improvement in the Freight & Logistics function.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost control, process improvements, and other supply chain initiatives to enhance competitiveness and responsiveness.Oversee the movement of materials, products, and capital goods across borders, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.Create Statements of Work based on internal needs and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers.Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers, ensuring adherence to agreements.Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure capital projects are quoted within budget and awarded to qualified suppliers.Track progress on Capital Equipment, Tooling, Indirect Materials, and Services, and provide regular updates to management and other stakeholders.Build advanced sourcing capabilities within the logistics domain.Establish strong partnerships and alignment with cross-functional stakeholders and logistics providers across all regions.Address supply chain challenges such as disruptions, quality issues, personnel matters, and expedited freight needs.Regularly report on project progress, cost savings, and other key metrics to supply chain leadership and relevant stakeholders.Bring an entrepreneurial mindset and strong analytical skills to the role.Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing MRO, indirect materials, and services.At least 5 years of experience in logistics sourcing and procurement across multiple regions or countries.Deep expertise in global logistics, including road, rail, ocean, and air transport.Strong understanding of finance, legal matters, and risk management within procurement.Familiarity with international trade regulations, including those in North America, Europe, and China, is highly valued.Solid grasp of procurement strategies and processes, including quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and development.Proficiency in managing the end-to-end material flow, procurement financials, and supply chain KPIs.Experience in project planning, including benefit estimation, ROI calculation, and timeline management, with a proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, inspire collaboration, and effectively drive and implement change.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.Highly skilled in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.A Master’s degree is preferred.APICS CPIM certification, or an equivalent credential, is preferred.
