The analyst serves as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team.Essential FunctionsJob duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned.1. Elicitation:
elicits requirements using joint application development (JAD), requirements workshops, interviews, document analysis, and surveys.2. Analysis:
uses sophisticated analysis techniques to identify user needs and business processes.3. Requirements Writing:
transforms information from elicitation sessions into business requirements.4. Visual Output:
visually transforms information into process flows and mockups.5. Managing Work:
uses initiative and independent judgment to participate in the software development lifecycle.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications• Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.• Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a dedicated business analyst.• Substitutions: Each additional year of related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.Other Qualifications• Belief that all Texas students can achieve at high levels.• Senior-level experience with implementing business analysis practices.• Advanced writing and analytical skills.• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.This position requires the applicant to meet Agency standards and criteria which may include passing a pre-employment criminal background check.No phone calls or emails, please.
