In the role of

Operations and Asset Management Lead , we'll count on you to:

Take responsibility for regional/area coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers, all within direction and goals of business class plans.Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations.Collaborate on business class efforts with regional/area operations, marketing and project management.Participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews.Participate in business class strategic planning, budgeting, and plan implementation.Supervise and mentor staff.Perform other duties as needed.Assist with growing client base and helping secure new projects.Leading teams both on pursuing and delivering projects.Maintaining client relations.Advancing HDR's leadership role in technology "tools" (e.g., software applications relevant to this business class).Advancing HDR's presence in the drinking water and/or wastewater market space (emphasis on operations, utility management, and asset management).

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.Drinking Water or Wastewater Operator licensures in California (Grade 3 or Above) is strongly desired.20+ years of experience in utility management with a preference on operations and asset management.Previous management experience within municipal drinking water or wastewater utility(ies).Strong technical background and experience in planning and design.Active engagement in industry organizations both locally (e.g., California Water Environment Association) and nationally (e.g., Water Environment Federation) to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.Proven leadership and mentoring skills that are necessary to grow and lead a business group.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience.Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
