We are looking for a Director, Distribution Operations to lead our Distribution Center in Henderson, NV. As the leader in one of our large Distribution Centers, you have the responsibility for setting strategic direction for the facility and overseeing the overall operation while ensuring that service, cost, safety, and people metrics are met. It is critical for this position to build and maintain new and existing relationships to operate the site in alignment with LS&Co standards.

About the Job

Create high levels of employee engagement that result in achieving maximum standards for production, quality, safety, and positive employee/labor relations.

Guide continuous process improvement using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies in the areas of cost, service, and productivity while driving employee engagement. Work in partnership to ensure inventory is available and product is shipped to customer specifications.

Guide programs to build working relationships with both Company and Union leadership to encourage a partnership resulting in a productive and adaptable working environment.

Guide health and safety programs together with our health and safety experts to enhance associate safety and ensure the facility is in compliance with federal and state laws.

Prepare and manage annual budget to include capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor costs.

Hire and develop the management team and first level supervisors to create a succession plan in the facility. Develops direct reports to ensure succession plans are in place. Ensure supervisor development includes technical and soft skills to support creating a work environment in which associates feel valued.

Create network programs aimed at improving processes, driving consistencies, and ensuring best practices are shared.

Manage and guide overall performance of direct reports through leadership and development.

Excellent problem-solving ability (ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems).

Excellent communication skills in the new world of remote & online working and highly collaborative with the ability to influence across the matrix and to build connections to enable success.

Establish partnerships with teams across the company to ensure that customer service goals are met.

Encourages a positive work environment in which management team drives results and associates feel valued.

Additionally, may be assigned responsibility for larger network projects on an ongoing basis.

About You

Minimum 10 years of distribution experience to include 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a medium to large distribution center.

Bachelor's degree with emphasis on Industrial engineering, logistics, distribution, or other related areas of expertise.

Fulfillment experience within DTC (direct to consumer) and wholesale business channels in an environment with fluctuating volumes is required.

Management experience with unionized workforce is desired.

Experience with WMS.

Startup/project management experience.

Strong ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the facility.

Background in Industrial Engineering, L.E.A.N, Kaizen a plus.

Deep understanding of distribution flow, integration, and automation.

Skill leading, motivating, and holding accountable a large team.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $142,100 to $215,200. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
