Employment Attorney

A law firm located in Irvine, CA is seeking a dedicated Employment Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil litigation and a passion for employment law. The position involves significant court appearances, discovery, law and motion practice, drafting pleadings and motions, and defending depositions. The candidate will work under the direction of a senior employment attorney but will be expected to manage and run their cases.Duties:Represent clients in employment-related legal matters, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and workplace discrimination.Conduct significant court appearances and advocate on behalf of clients in various legal proceedings.Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, and managing document production.Engage in law and motion practice, including preparing and arguing motions before the court.Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.Defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.Manage and run individual cases under the guidance of a senior employment attorney.Collaborate with clients to develop legal strategies and provide counsel on employment law issues.Requirements:Admitted to the California Bar.Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation.Demonstrated experience making court appearances.Availability of recent writing samples for review.Desire to learn and grow in the field of employment law.Experience in employment litigation is a plus but not required.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California State Bar.Skills:Strong litigation skills with a focus on employment law.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Capable of working independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
