Woolpert is continually moving its culture forward. Because of our growth, we are seeking a H&H (Hydrologic and Hydraulic) Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in Texas.
Responsibilities
Conduct difficult to complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
2D H&H analyses for modeling and mapping floodplains and floodways in riverine and urban areas.
Perform watershed hydrologic analyses for planning, outfall master planning, flood control conveyance and detention facility design.
Assimilate and present data in reports and public forums.
Lead technical effort on project and provide guidance to junior staff.
Lead production of analysis calculations and technical reports.
Work in a multi-disciplined, multi-office team environment.
Maintain excellent client relations and meet client expectations, including an ability to concisely explain project status and address/remedy client concerns.
Prepare project scopes of work, cost proposals, schedules, and contracts.
Control work-in-process, ensure accurate client billings, and monitor accounts receivable and collection efforts for projects.
Handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Occasional field work and travel may be required.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering; Master Degree in Civil Engineering preferred with at least ten (10) years related experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
Experience in operating hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software for stormwater analysis (e.g., EPA/XP/Info/PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (2D), GeoHECRAS, ICPR (2D), InfoWorks ICM, StormCAD).
Team spirit and willingness to assist junior staff in a team environment to deliver accurate project deliverables within designated scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
Experience working with Harris County Flood Control District, City of Houston, and/or TxDOT is preferred.
Highly motivated with strong organizational and time management skills, excelling in a multidiscipline project team environment.
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software is preferred.
