Job Overview:
The Food & Beverage Director will oversee all facets of the resort’s food and beverage services, encompassing restaurants, bars, and event catering. This leadership position requires a visionary leader with a passion for crafting exceptional dining experiences, driving revenue growth, and managing a diverse team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in hospitality management, a flair for innovative culinary concepts, and an unwavering commitment to delivering impeccable service.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Formulate and implement food and beverage strategies that align with the resort's objectives. Develop initiatives aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction, optimizing revenue, and managing operational costs.
Operational Management:
Supervise the daily operations of all dining venues, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of culinary and service professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Financial Oversight:
Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures. Drive revenue through innovative promotions and upselling strategies.
Guest Experience:
Guarantee exceptional guest service by promptly addressing any concerns or feedback. Continuously innovate and refresh dining concepts to keep offerings exciting and relevant.
Vendor Relations:
Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure high-quality products and negotiate advantageous terms.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Director or in a similar leadership role within a resort or upscale hospitality setting.
Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including culinary trends, service standards, and financial management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of industry trends and standards.
Experience in reviewing P&L statements and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Proficient in problem-solving within the workplace.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude.
A degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications or training will be considered a plus. A minimum of five years of experience is required.
Collaborate closely with local, state, and governmental organizations to uphold the highest standards of health, sanitation, and cleanliness in all beverage areas.
Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools.
Flexibility to work a schedule that may include extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
