The Communication Director is responsible for spearheading strategic direction, initiatives and planning, synchronization, and management of a strategic communications program. Responsibilities include:Developing long term company strategy and management of communication technology platforms including company intranet and future platforms.Providing operational management to teams of communication and IT professionals to meet communication and development goals.Leading communication work for all acquisitions and divestments.Developing internal communications strategies and managing delivery of related communications products for the organization.Managing a team of communication professionals to create key deliverables of corporate communication plan.Implementing the company’s internal communications strategy, tools and tactics to drive an engaged culture.Developing, analyzing and delivering long term strategic plans and budgets for companywide communication technology platforms.Providing operational oversight of communication and IT professionals to deliver products and strategies.Evaluating and determining direction of future enhancements and/or products for the technology platform.Identifying corporate interdependencies in communication plans and creating effective interfaces.Developing processes, procedures and policies related to the communications technology platform.Engaging executive and leadership teams to improve associate engagement and company performance through technology.Drafting, managing and reviewing company internal communications.This job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the above referenced position. Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, English, Journalism, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of ten years experience in related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years experience leading and managing technology and business process teams and projects. Experience working with multiple levels of business leaders and business sensitive information. Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to the technical structure, requirements, and maintenance of SharePoint development, administration, security, related components and environments. Previous manager experience preferred.Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements: SharePoint administration and/or development.Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Uses experience to develop appropriate communications strategies and create guidelines and procedures for varied decision making within a department. Analyzes options, recommends and sets direction for course of action for maximum impact.Knowledge and Skills

Possesses extensive knowledge of communication technology platforms and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment. Has working knowledge of a functional discipline. Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills for print and Web required. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
