Purpose

The Social Media Manager is responsible for managing the Floor & Decor social media campaigns, including paid and organic campaign execution and optimization, strategic planning, managing paid influencer program, growing fan/follower base, and end-to-end management of the user-generated content campaign, all in support of ambitious growth objectives. Lead an integrated approach to create dynamic campaigns across all social media customer touch points. Drive the strategic development of social media programs to yield significantly higher brand awareness, customer engagement, and in-store and online traffic and sales.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field

Three to five years of progressive, relevant work experience in social media marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the job

Excellent leadership, project management, problem-solving, collaboration, and team building skills

Demonstrated ability to exceed goals and drive progressive business results via social media marketing programs

Ability to proactively manage multiple projects and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced work environment

Strong knowledge of social media landscape, including latest trends and best practices in management and measurement

Strong data-driven decision-making skills, analytics skills, and experience with A/B and multivariate testing strategy and execution

Proven success in managing large budgets to drive on-budget, on-goal results

Proven success in managing influencer and user-generated content campaigns

Strong copywriting skills and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

Must be detail-oriented, organized, and a multi-tasker, handling frequent priority shifts and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive under pressure

Comfortable preparing and presenting executive-ready deliverables and PowerPoint presentations to leaders and executives

Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the group.

Essential Functions

Lead cross-functional teams at agencies and internally to develop, execute, and optimize paid social media campaigns across Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other emerging platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement, traffic, and sales

Collaborate with agencies and internal stakeholders to plan, develop assets, execute, and optimize campaigns for social media (paid and organic), influencers, and user-generated content

Innovate existing social strategies to ensure a best-in-class social experience. Evaluate emerging social media platforms, organic post and ad formats, and technological solutions.

Research and identify new social media platforms and opportunities to reach and engage target audiences, providing thought leadership, securing alpha/beta access, and perspective for adoption as appropriate

Manage large social media budget and allocate resources across channels, campaigns, and objectives

Independently create, schedule, and publish content across social channels, ensuring our brand remains top-of-mind for prospective and existing customers. Content must be inspiring, informational, and engaging, with versions for all key customer segments

Create and manage social media editorial calendar for organic pins/posts and paid advertising

Manage influencer program end-to-end. Work with agency partner to secure influencer and engagement opportunities across social platforms, process inbound requests, send outbound requests, vet influencers, create contracts with legal department, correspond with and manage influencers, ensure output is on brand, and deliver expected reach and results

Manage user-generated content (UGC) program end-to-end. Secure user-generated content across social media and blogs, promote the program across in-store and digital touchpoints, process inbound requests, send outbound requests, vet submissions, secure image rights with legal department, ensure output is on brand and deliver expected results

Measure and report performance of all social media, influencer, and UGC marketing and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs both online and in stores). Identify performance and market trends/insights and optimize based on findings.

Manage social media reporting tools

Collaborate closely with online social reputation and customer care teams to manage interactions across all platforms. Includes providing appropriate messaging to use with customers on social media

Partner with content teams internally and at agencies to contribute to brand editorial calendar, turn new/existing content assets into social media content, and produce copy for all organic posts/pins and paid social ads

Collaborate with the creative, content, and agency teams to produce engaging and on-brand social media content, including videos, graphics, stories, and live streams

Partner with Ecommerce and IT departments, including merchandising, development, and analytics teams to execute campaigns and drive business results. Includes technical feed development and data transfers in partnership with IT and CRM

Partner with key internal stakeholders, including Recruiting, Regional Marketing, CRM to execute targeted campaigns to reach key customers/prospects with specific messages customized to be effective on social media platforms

Creative, innovative, and customer-centric approach to social media marketing

Working Conditions

The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate

This position is salaried, knowing it will include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week

Limited travel required including air and car travel

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull
