Job Summary
The Senior Compliance Specialist is responsible for oversight, coaching, and educating of process compliance with GSE standard operating procedures and policies. This includes compliance with Station GSE Managers, Technicians and Vendors. Within the scope of the position, the CSM will demonstrate excellent knowledge of all GSE CMMS (Dossier) functions, Preventive Maintenance (PM) requirements and required Safety and Security regulations and recommended standard operating procedures regarding WFS policies and procedures. CSSM needs a strong commitment to standard operating procedures within the WFS GSE organization handling GSE associated policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Keep current on emerging compliance, safety and security concerns and act in advisory role to the Director of Support/Development/Compliance and station management teams to ensure WFS compliance.
Investigate and analyze compliance, safety and security failures. Document and submit reports with findings regarding process failures and provide recommendations for change.
Work with vendor representatives to strategize on process improvements on compliance related issues.
Oversee and guide stations in completion of required inspections and audits as mandated by the company and department.
Oversee and verify the completion and submittal of all reports required by government and airport authorities.
Oversee and/or lead safety and security meetings to ensure operations teams understand and comply with required regulations and processes.
Perform independent station audits with focus on safety, security, and quality policies & procedures.
Build and develop GSE audit team and schedule and coordinate audit team inspections.
Assist on special projects and events as needed or perform other duties as required.
Partner with Development Specialist creating and designing training and support materials.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum five (5) years or equivalent experience in GSE Maintenance.
Experience using CMMS (Dossier).
Understanding safety and security protocols and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies in a global environment.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to respond to critical safety/security issues in a timely manner.
Ability to work individually or as part of a dynamic team.
Working knowledge of MS Office software.
Committed and reliable.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Further education in airline operations safety/security or similar field will be an asset.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Walk short distances.
Reach above and/or below shoulder.
Handle/grasp documents or office equipment.
Sit and/or stand for short or extended periods of time.
Lift/carry/move objects, files and documents up to 10 pounds.
Work in an office environment using standard office equipment.
Talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
