is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as – 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.Position Summary:The Quality Specialist ensures that the company provides products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations through the deployment and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS). The specialist will administer various QMS activities to ensure continual compliance to the organization’s procedures and requirements. The specialist will support activities to identify and implement improvements, including liaising with managers and staff, and coordinating procedures to address any deficiencies.Essential Functions:Quality representative for compliance to external ISO 9001 standard audits and class societies, DNV, BV, ABS, LR, CSA, TUV.Perform internal audits, prepare audit reports and communicate their results. Assist various organization personnel with root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.Administer organization’s corrective and preventive action system. Monitor internal and external requirements for potential upgrade or improvement opportunities.Assist customer service with Field Trouble Report (FTR) process. Perform various department procedural training and assist organization with QMS training activities. Analyze, identify and implement manufacturing and/or business process improvements in order to improve capability and performance. Troubleshoot problems or quality issues related to products, processes, and corrective actions.Applying good manufacturing practice and observing that it is being adhered to. Provide assistance and guidance with manufacture data book (MDB) preparation and product certification issues. Assist Quality Manager to achieve department targeted compliance objectives.Collaborate with other members of management to develop new manufacturing and training methods.Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.Comply with all Nikkiso ACD company and EHS policies and procedures.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years’ experience in a QA leadership or Analyst role within a manufacturing environment. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.Familiar with members of international association of classification societies.Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to think logically and methodically.Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills combined with the ability to delegate.Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office systems normally required.Previous exposure to a machine shop, foundry or sheet metal shop.Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Quality System auditing and reporting experience.Understanding of standard manufacturing and safety compliance processes.The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above are typically acquired through the levels of education and experience listed. This may include week days, weekends, nights and/or holidays.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. may be required.Wage Range:
